Giorgio Buccellati – March 2012

The volume by J. M. Pagan, A Morphological and Lexical Study of Personal Names in the Ebla Texts, Archivi Reali di Ebla, Studi: III, Roma 1998, was based on an implementation of the morphemic analysis of Akkadian that I had developed for the Old Babylonian Linguistic Analysis Project. The volume itself contained an Appendix (pp. 413-422) that gives the Encoding Manual as adapted for the purpose of the Ebla Personal Names. A floppy disk was enclosed with the volume that gave the database in electronic format.
The data contained in the disk are still of current interest, and are reproduced here. The content is the same as given in the original disk, but for the format modifications needed to suit the browser presentation. Also, a few errors were corrected in the input.
The contents are given in the box to the right.
